Bears

Hello everyone,

Last week we read the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. We made some bear puppets to bring home and tell the story to our families. I hope you enjoyed the story. If your child recalled the story it would be great to hear about it on a WOW. We played with spoons and porridge oats. We really enjoyed this. At snack time we had porridge. It was just right!!! We talked about different sized bears e.g. small, medium and large.

This week we are going to read the story of Whatever Next By Jill Murphy. The children found this book in book corner and have shown an interest in the story. We are going to be doing some junk modelling. If you have any spare cardboard boxes, plastic containers please do bring them in for junk modelling.
We will be having a picnic this week with our teddies at snack time. Please bring you teddies in from home to join us for our snack.

Hello everyone,

Last week we had a fantastic week celebrating harvest and starting to talk about Autumn. We made our own tractors using different sized shapes. These were on display in the school hall for Harvest. They will be back on display in our classroom this week. We went on an Autumn walk around the school grounds and found lots of lovely leaves, pine cones etc. We talked about the changes and what we could see. At snack time we talked about where our food comes from. We have had a lovely time playing with the farm , tractors and farm animals.

For the next couple of weeks we will continue to talk about Autumn along with Bears. The children were really interested in We're going on a bear hunt. For the next couple of week we will be sharing different bears stories and songs along with lots of different bear activities. We will be talking about sizes and colours.
