Christmas is coming....

Hello Everyone,

Last week we have had a great week and were very busy making our models of our favourite form of Transport. The children were very inventive using the recourses well helping each other to stay safe and develop their ideas together. It was great to see their caring natures shining through.
The Role Play bus was very popular and this helped develop mark making while making tickets, writing maps and planning their journeys.
We also enjoyed vehicle song times and listening to vehicle sounds to see if we could identify them.

This week we will be starting to turn the role play area in to a lounge making a fire place with our Christmas stockings and Christmas tree. We will also be starting to make our Christmas lists so watch out for them!

Letters and Sounds

We will be starting to work on Environmental sound which follows on from our Transport games last week. Hopefully we will be able to identify which instrument is playing while it’s out of sight. We will keep you updated on how this developed.

Jennie Jigsaw
We will be starting work on the Jennie Jigsaw program in the New Year this is a program put together to help support children’s Personal, Social, and Emotional Education.
There are six pieces of the puzzle which are divided into one piece per half term. The first one we will be concentrating on is Being Me in My World.

Home Learning

When you are out and about if you could help your child to identify outside sounds. Please record this on a wow so it can be proudly displayed.

Learning is such fun with your little ones and it’s amazing how much they absorb during their Pre-school sessions.

Vehicles

Hello Everyone,

Last week we have had a very busy week exploring different types of Transport.
We have had much fun mixing colours and painting Transport wheel pictures.
We had a great time showing Zoe round the school grounds, pointing out all of its magical features.
We have worked on our team skills playing hide and seek in the school grounds. This was great working together to talk through ideas with our adults, taking it in turns to hide and find the other groups. On Friday we had our Children in Need day and we made Pudsey bears and dressed up in spots and stripes. Thank you to everyone who supported this. We have raised so far £441.98.

This week we will be continuing talking about vehicles, making a Role play bus as well as planning journeys, making tickets and paying money for the ride.
During the week we will be playing Transport sound tracks to see how many of the vehicle sounds the children can recognise.
We will be junk modelling our favourite vehicles over the week so look out for these to take home at the end of the week.

Home Learning – If you could bring in a picture of your child’s favourite form of Transport that would be lovely.

Zoe has really enjoyed meeting you all this week and looks forward to getting to know your children over the coming weeks.
