We had a lovely week talking about winter and what happens during this time.
The main views of the children was that it was going to be very cold and it might snow?!
The children also wanted to go out and experience what it was like to play in the rain.
This week we will be focusing on the story of ‘Stickman’ this book is a real favourite for the children and we will create our own stickmen during the week. It also has a lovely Christmas feel and a family theme which links in with Jennie Jigsaw.

Hello Everyone,

We had a great week continuing with our shape topic. We built lots of 3D structures with the wooden blocks and found out lots of things about using shapes in our construction play. The children really enjoyed making their shape biscuits and started to look for numbers on the scales. They also made predictions about what was going to happen next.
This week we will learn all about winter, what happens during winter time, the changes that take place. How we prepare ourselves for the cold and also look at some animals and how they adapt to the conditions.
We have some fun activities planned playing games, painting winter scenes, and looking at which animals like cold conditions.
During the afternoon’s we will be helping to make lanterns for the event in Poundbury on Friday evening.
