Our last 2 days in Year 1 Preschool

Image result for summer holidays

Hello Everyone,

We had a great time last week and really enjoyed our ‘Teddy bears picnic’
party.
The water day was great and everyone had lots of fun working together as a
team to make sure everyone got a soaking!!
Can’t believe this year has gone so quick and the amazing progress the children have
made.
For the last couple of days we will be playing games, playing with our favourite toys
and making the most of the time we have left in year 1 together.
Please can you let us know if you found an extra towel with your Childs clothes on
Thursday as we seem to have lost one. It has fishes on. If you could return it the
owner will be very happy.

Please remember to check your Child’s post pocket when you hang up coats
in the mornings, all important post will be there.

If you could apply sun cream to your child if it looks like it’s going to be warm
before they arrive at Pre-School in the mornings this would be a great help to
us.
Looking forward to a fantastic last two days.

We have got our Saturday Stay and Play on 31st August 10.00am-11.30am in Year 2 classroom. Look forward to seeing you there.

Teddy Bears

Hello Everyone,

We had fun playing with different foods in the texture tray. Some of the children would not touch any of these as they looked too messy!
We played throwing and catching with the beanbags and used the large crates and planks to make construction structures outside.
The outside painting was very well used this week and some children got rather messy clothes, sorry about this.
This week we are going to be having lots of fun activities. We will be focussing our activities on Bears to link in with our Teddy Bears picnic later in the week.
On Thursday we will have a water play session outside which should be great fun.

This week we will be playing lots of team games this week to show that everyone in a team has a part to play and allow the children to explore each of these roles.

Letters and Sounds
This week we will be playing ‘What’s that noise’ which is a guessing game to see if you can listen and see what is being rattled. It also encourages descriptive language as we talk about what they can hear. During the week we will also use the Musical instruments.

Home Learning
We will continue to share news and giving praise as a group. This section of group time has become really popular and it’s been great to see the children building in confidence to speak out in front of the group.

Hello Everyone,

We had a great fun making jelly fish out of paper items we found.
The children were very interested in how the jelly fish would feel.
We talked at group times about water safety and how we needed to stay safe.
Dance afternoon was great fun and thank you to all that came along and joined in with us. I was amazed that they all got up, in front of the whole school, no one got stage fright!
This week we will be talking about all types of sports, trying out some new team games, challenging our learning with obstacle course and having lots of fun.
We are also going to be doing some texture play and using some food items for this. The children have asked to explore different types of food on the texture table.
We will also paint with some items.
