Colour

Hello Everyone,

Hello everyone,

We had a very busy week learning names of new colours and doing some experimenting with them. The number hunt was enjoyed by everyone, it was lovely to start seeing the children working together to solve simple tasks. We also had a look around at what colours we could see in the outside environment. The chickens are quite hard to describe as they are a range of colours. We started our PE time where we will continue this week to follow simple instructions as a group.
This week we will be continuing with our colour theme we will play colour bingo and start to talk about shapes. We will be making our pizza lunch on Tuesday and will describe all the colour and shapes we can see while making and cutting the pizzas up.

On Thursday 21st November  we have our story time at 3.10pm. Please come and join us. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there. If you are able to arrive as close to 3:10pm as possible that would be fantastic, if you do not make it until after 3:15 we would politely request that you wait to collect your child at the normal pick up time as, I am sure you will appreciate, it is quite disturbing for the children and also getting ready for the end of the day is a busy time. Many thanks for your support and cooperation on this matter.

Colours.....

Hello Everyone,

We great first week back and very much enjoyed our Firework activities.
The highlight seemed to be making as much noise as we could being
Fireworks with the musical instruments. The children loved learning the
Firework song and remembered it well.
We will also learn some new firework songs and created some firework dance
moves to music.

This week we would like to focus on primary colours and what other colours
we make from these. This also allows us to recap our colour knowledge and
extend our learning to the next level. We will also do a colour hunt in small
groups to work as part of a team and listen to others thinking and ideas.
On Monday we will be watching the special BBC children's programme to
mark the two minute silence.
