Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have had a great week finding out some really interesting facts about France. The children had lots of questions. We tried some tasty food and also listened to some French music and did some dancing.

This week we are going to explore Italy and we have lots of fun things planned.

Zoe is doing a parent evening on Tuesday from 4-5.45. This is for parents to complete settling in/2 year checks. Please see the sign up list on the door for information on this. Zoe has emailed the parents who she would like to catch up with.

Thank you for  applying suncream in the mornings. This is a great help to us. There is always cream out on the table with the tick list.

We then apply more cream after lunchtime.

Stay and Play is on Thursday 29th June 8.30-9.00am.

We enjoy seeing the children after school socialising in the preschool garden. We are more than happy for the children to play with resources which are out e.g. bikes but we kindly ask that after you finish playing with them please pop them back where you found them.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Please can you return your sunscreen permission slip if you have not already done so. I’m sure we will start to see the warmer weather when we return.

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have had a lovely week and we enjoyed talking about France and where it is. We hope all the Dad’s and Grandad’s enjoyed their coaster gifts and have had a great weekend.

The children have loved playing in the year 2 classroom and they loved exploring. We will continue to use these classrooms over the coming week.

While we play outside the year 2 are getting to know the children and are making some great relationships.

This week we will continue with this and will make some passports and pretend to go on the boat.

We also have lots of fun activities planned throughout the week.

Hello everyone......

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We really have had a great first week back. The children have been really building on their existing knowledge. They loved telling us all about what they have been up to during the holidays. The children have been doing some great number challenges this week and have been really starting to recognise numbers.

This week we are going to be travelling around and looking at France. We will also do some food tasting along the way.  We also have some creations to make ready for the weekend ahead!

We also have lots of fun activities planned throughout the week.

We are doing some short visits and starting out transitions to the Year 2 classrooms. This will include story/grouptimes and short plays in the classrooms when year 2 are out. Julia and Colleen will also do some storytimes in our classroom so the children can start to build relationships with the year 2 staff. During lunchtimes the children will continue to be on mixed tables with the year 2 staff. The year 2 staff are very familiar to the children as they regularly talk to them while they are playing outside. If you have any questions then please come and speak to Zoe or Julia. We want to give your children the best possible start in year 2 so they feel settled and as secure as possible.

If you can continue to apply suncream in the mornings this would be a great help to us. There is always cream out on the table with the tick list.

We then apply more cream after lunchtime.

We enjoy seeing the children after school socialising in the pre-school garden.

We are missing this hat in the picture below. Please can we all check to see if this hat has accidentally come home with your child.

Hello everyone.....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We really hope you have had a lovely week, we have been so lucky with the weather. Hopefully you have been able to get out and enjoy the fresh air, visit parks and maybe have a little picnic? Please share with us any Wow’s of your time and email any photos you may have with us.

This week we will do some recall of our holiday week.. We will be looking at the Theme of Summer, the clothes we wear, what makes Summer different and what we may see such as flowers out in bloom.  We also have lots of fun activities planned throughout the week.

Drop off time -  remember where possible to  drop at the door, in preparation to progressing to Pre-School year 2, this is going really well.

We are doing some short visits and starting out transitions to the Year 2 classrooms. This will include story/grouptimes and short plays in the classrooms when year 2 are out. Julia and Colleen will also do some storytimes in our classroom so the children can start to build relationships with the year 2 staff. Please can you ensure all T Shirts and Jumpers are named as the children take them off and put them down and then we can’t identify who they belong to. There are a couple of jumpers so we will put these out on the rail during collection times.

We enjoy seeing the children after school socialising in the pre-school garden. We are more than happy for the children to play with resources which are out e.g. bikes but we kindly ask that after you finish playing with them please pop them back where you found them.
