Welcome to The Prince of Wales Pre-school

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our weekly blog. We post the blog on a Sunday evening and it tells you all of our plans for the week.

This week we will be settling in your children and starting to learn all about them.

We will try and make this transition as smooth as we can. We are just sorry at the moment you are not able to come into the Pre-School. Please feel free to call us throughout the day if you would like to hear how your child is getting on.

Zoe/Chloe will ring you during the morning for the first couple of sessions to let you know how your child is.

If you download the Marvelous Me app we will be able to start sending your some pictures to support their transition period. We are very approachable and will work honestly and openly with you.

This week we will be learning about each other, what we like to do, our families, and setting in to Pre-School. Exploring our new surroundings, meeting our animals in the wildlife garden.

I expect your child will seem very tired adjusting to the new routine and this is to be expected. If your child is ‘wobbling’ about coming in and seems more settled playing outside this where we will stay for a short while. It’s always important to say you are leaving and will be back to pick them up later.

Although you may be feeling anxious, stay positive to your child ‘you're going to have a great time.

It was great to meet you all at the stay and play sessions and we are really looking forward to letting our adventures begin. Please catch us if you have any questions or need any clarification.

Notices

We place all lunch boxes in the fridge, please label lunch boxes with your child's name. If you would like to order your child a hot lunch, please speak to a member of staff and Caroline will arrange a hot lunch code for you.

This week the weather is looking lovely and sunny. If you could apply sun cream to your child before they arrive at Pre-School in the mornings this would be a great help to us.

It would great if pre-school t-shirts and jumpers can be named.

I will be doing an information session about all our adventures in year 1 towards the end of the 1st half of term. Please look out for the letter and hope to see lots of you there, as there will be lots of useful information to support your child. This session will be outside if the weather is good or if not socially distanced in the pre-school hall.

Please bring any WOW's for our WOW board you have and if you need some WOW slips, please come and ask one of the staff.

Looking forward to a week of new friendships and fun.

See you all soon

Zoe and Chloe
