Hello everyone....

 

Year 1

Hello Everyone, 

We have had a great week. We have been very busy going to feed and check on the animals most days. The children have really enjoyed this and have enjoyed watching the chickens as they are being fed. No one has been in to the chicken run yet, they prefer to watch from a distance. We have done some lovely painting of the Brown Bear character and the children were very creative with this.

This week we will be joining in with the Farming fortnight with school. We hope to do some cooking this week and make some delicious bread to try. 

We have lots of fun activities planned around this theme. Please remember there is an optional dress up day coming up.

We have started to send some Marvellous Me’,s,  we hope you have managed to access these. When you have seen them you have the option of sending back a high five. This helps us to see that you have received them ok. If you have experienced any difficulties with this then please come and speak to us. 

The morning stay and play session this week is on Thursday from 8.30-9.00am. It would be great to see you but understand if you would like to leave it a few weeks while your child settles in with us. 

 If you have any questions then please just let us know and we can go through these with you. If you have any administration questions Caroline is in the office every morning so please go round to the front of the building and ring the doorbell and she will be able to help you. 

We will always ensure any letters are put in your child’s bag so please always have a look for any post.

Please could you continue to  bring in a couple of photos of people who are special to your child. We would like to make a little display so your child can always see some familiar faces while at Pre-School. 

Notices

Stay and play morning sessions are now posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Thursday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

We will have the parents information session date by the end of this week. It will be on an evening during the week.

Year 1

Hello Everyone, 

We have had a lovely week and all of the children have started to explore lots of areas of the classroom. We have played some lovely group games and the children are starting to learn the names of each other. 

This week we will be exploring the areas of the school grounds and making sure everyone has been to meet the chickens and Guinea pig.

We have started to send some Marvellous Me’,s,  we hope you have managed to access these. When you have seen them you have the option of sending back a high five. This helps us to see that you have received them ok.

Hello Everyone, 

We have had a great week and enjoyed meeting everyone that started this week. The children have been amazing and have really enjoyed spending time in their new environment. You may find that this week there could be a couple of ‘wobbles ‘about coming in but this is perfectly normal. Myself or Chloe will give you a call to update you on how your child is settling. 

We plan to spend this week playing some fun games together and will explore the surrounding areas of the school.

We will continue to get to know everyone and have lots of fun together.

On Wednesday evening at 7.30pm POWSA have got a meeting in the school hall. It is a great opportunity to support the pre-school/school and meet new friends. If you would like more information please come and ask.

Hello Everyone, 

We are really looking forward to meeting and settling in all of the children who are joining us this week.

We plan on spending lots of time getting to know each other, playing and generally having some fun together. 

We will be ready at the door to welcome your children in and show them where to put all of their belongings. We will give you a phone call on their first morning to let you know how they are settling in. If you complete the Marvellous Me permission form we can get your login details to you so you can start to receive photos from us.  If you have any questions then please just let us know and we can go through these with you. If you have any administration questions Caroline is in the office every morning so please go round to the front of the building and ring the doorbell and she will be able to help you. If you are going to work we can always pass on any messages for you. We will always ensure any letters are put in your child’s bag so please always have a look for any post. 

This blog is always put online on a Sunday evening each week so you can see an update of what we have been doing and what we plan to do in the following week. 

If you have requested a hot dinner code these will be with you this week and then you can register online and select your dinner choices from the menu. This week you will need to bring a packed lunch for your child as lunches have to be ordered a week in advance.
