Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We hope you have had a great half term and had lots of fun together.

We really look forward to welcoming everyone back and having lots of fun and learning together again. We are also looking forward to welcoming our 5 new friends to the class and I’m sure the children will make them feel very welcome.

This week we will be learning all about insects and seeing how many different creatures we can find around the Pre-School. We will also be learning about what conditions they like to live in. We also are having a trip to the life education van this week which is very exciting.

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will continue talking about  ‘What makes us happy’ focusing on learning about how we are feeling. Jennie the Jigsaw has been coming to our group times and talking to the children all about having kind hands and she talks to the children about the positive things she's been seeing during the day. (Jennie is a soft toy)

Letters and Sounds

We will be listening to lots of different styles of music this week and linking this to the different stories we are reading throughout the week.

We will also play with the Tappy sticks and have a turn at being the leader. This gives all the children a go at being the leader and directing the others.

Notices:

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. Please  apply suncream to your child before school and tick your child's name off on the list which will be on the green table by the pre-school door. If you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure either it is in their bags or a spare is kept at pre-school.

On Thursday 28th April we have got stay and play from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

On Monday 2nd May it is Bank Holiday Monday, we are closed on this day and are back open on the Tuesday 3rd May.

Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have been having great fun this week. We have really enjoyed some free painting of flowers this week. The children have been great at mixing the colours and looking really closely at the patterns. We have been playing some great number games and counting, which has made the children really think about their number investigations. We loved our visit and had great fun chasing the Easter bunny for the bunny hop.

This week we will be continuing to learn all about Eater and we have some fun activities planned around this.

Jennie Jigsaw

The children have loved to listen to different types of music at group times this week. We will continue to listen to some

different types of music and asking the children about how they make them feel. They will also be dancing and seeing if they recognize where the music is from.
