Hello everyone....

Hello  Everyone,

We had a great week and the children loved their Nature adventures.

On Monday we did some lovely cut out  Hedgehogs, Tuesday we went on a Nature hunt around the play trail area, Wednesday we looked for bugs and insects up high by shaking branches on to paper, Thursday we did some great shell painting and on Friday we decorated and decided where to put our bug houses. We also made some fruit smoothies together.

This week we will be  having a Sports  week and we have lots of fun things planned so we hope the weather stays dry for us. Throughout the week we will be competing in a sponsored Bike challenge. You should all know which day your child will be doing this. If you need a reminder please just ask.

On Friday afternoon it is Dance day with the whole of the school later. I’m sure they will soon be singing the song at home. You will be welcome to meet us on the field if your child does not attend on the day. Look forward to seeing lots of you there. It will be the first time this year we have done anything in front of the parents so, we will see how it goes.

This week we will round the room. This is where you give a set of clues of what someone in the room is wearing and the other children have to try and guess who it is.

The children always love this game and soon catch on to not looking at the person directly to see what they are wearing!

Letters and sounds

We will  play Who has the keys and describe the animals. The children are getting very good at these games.

Notices

If you have any questions then please just ask. The weather is looking great so sunscreen before arrival really helps us out.Just look for the laminated list and tick off your child’s name. Obviously if you are running late we can help you with this.

Throughout the week we have got our sponsored POWSA Bike-a-Thon. The children can bring in scooters, bikes and helmets on their day. We are going to be doing it in small groups. We have got balance bikes, scooters and helmets they can borrow.

On Friday afternoon it is school dance day and we are doing a robot dance and head shoulders knees and toes. You are all very welcome to come and watch. It starts at 2.30pm on the school field.

On the whiteboard outside the classroom door is a pocket with Home Wow slips in, please help yourself to these. We love celebrating the children's home WOW'S.

Every Friday till the end of term, POWSA will be selling ice lollies and choc ices from 3.20pm at pick up. Ice lollies and choc ices 50p.

Zoe has a few parents left  to meet to complete the EYFS development checks. Zoe will arrange these with you directly.

Please always email me if you need anything or further information.

Hello everyone

Hello  Everyone,

We had a great week and the children really enjoyed ‘Cinderella’ and the best bit was making the magic shoes. We watched a bit of it during group time and it was nice how the children picked up that the sisters were not being kind to Cinderella.

This week we have some very important jobs to do ready for the weekend.

We will be doing some planting in the flower bed by the nature area and helping to care for the animals. We also have some cooking to do! We hope to have a picnic snack as the children have loved reading the story of ‘There’s a Bear’ this last week. We are going to re-cap some group team games to ensure we know the names of at least 3 of our friends in the group.

This week we will continue playing ‘what's in the box’ to see if we can identify different sounds from inside the box. We may start to get the children to make up their own sounds which could be fun as well.

Letters and sounds

We will continue to  play. ‘ Teddy lost in the room’  We did not get round to playing this last week, we were so busy!

Someone goes outside the room, the rest of the group hide Teddy. The child returns,  by listening to someone  playing a drum loudly if they are close and quiet if they are far away from finding Teddy. The children really enjoy this and it's a great listening game for everyone.
