We made some great salt dough and will be decorating our Easter creations this week.

We have had great fun watching the Caterpillars eating all their food before they start to make their cocoons.

This week we have lots of fun Easter activities planned and we are going to have great fun together before the half term.

We will also be exploring the interests of the children and extending their activities helping to build new knowledge. The chicks will be hatching this week in the year 2 classroom so I'm sure this will bring much excitement.  On Thursday we have got our sponsored POWSA bunny hop.

Hello  Everyone,

We have had a great week and been up to lots fun learning together.

On Monday we set to work on our Mother’s day cards and gift making.

Tuesday we had great fun doing a science experiment using sugar cubes. The children made a little tower of bricks. They then had to predict what would happen if they poured over warm water.

Wednesday the group experimented making firework patterns using milk and food colouring. These were very colourful and the children engaged in lots of new language.

On Thursday we watched and made lava lamps, we tried to count the bubbles but there were far too many!

Friday we did some magic creations using wax to draw an invisible picture, we then used watercolours to paint over the surface of the paper to show what they had drawn.

The two mornings we had rain we had great fun in the soft play room. It’s great to see how far the children have come in playing together and playing imaginative games.

This week we will be continuing with simple science activities. We will also be starting our story of the Hungry Caterpillar. We will be getting a delivery of the insect Lore which I’m sure will cause lots of interest. Year 2 have their chick eggs in the incubator so we go and see these as well.

We will also be exploring the interests of the children and extending their interests helping to build new knowledge.

Hello  Everyone,

What a lovely few days of dry weather we have had.Spring really is on the way and it’s lovely to have the lighter mornings.

At Pre-School this week we had a great week. It was fun to see some of our old friends coming back and welcoming new children to the class.

We had lots of fun making our Banana cakes and the children loved the story of ‘Handa’s surprise.’ The children enjoyed watching where Bananas are grown and seeing them harvested to be shipped to us in supermarkets.

We have been playing lots of small group games and turn taking which has been encouraging great social skills.

World book day was fun and we went out in groups to read stories in different areas of the school grounds. Some children went to the round house, animals, pirate ship it was great to read stories with a different outlook. The children were very engaged and really enjoyed this experience.

This week we will be doing some simple science activities and be busy making and creating some special gifts for the weekend. We will also be exploring the interests of the children and extending their interests helping to build new knowledge.

Nearly the whole class so far are returning this week which will be lovely.
