Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have been very busy this week and have done some lovely things together. We have enjoyed looking at the wildlife in the garden and hunting for any more caterpillars. We have loved watching them eat all of the food and now they are starting to build their cocoon’s to go to sleep in. There has been some great mark making happening this week and the children have been setting themselves some great challenges. It is so great to see the social interactions with the children and how much more confident they have become. They loved putting on their pj’s and singing for the Peter Pan show and were so amazing at how they all took to the stage!

This week we are going to have more of a beach focus and have some great activities planned.

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will be looking at making friends and encouraging each other in all that we are doing. We will be encouraging the children to invite others into their play and how to start conversations and interactions in a small group.

Letters and Sounds

This week we will continue to play matching objects in the sand to see if the children can search to find the matching toys.

Notices

If you could continue to apply sunscreen to your child before they arrive at Pre-School this would be an amazing help. This means we are able to maximise the time we spend with the children developing their learning and education. We will put out the suncream list and you can tick off your child’s name at drop off in the morning.

Please can you all check you have the correct jumpers as a couple of people have misplaced theirs. The missing ones are clearly named so if you can all have a check that would

be great.

We are also missing a soft toy dinosaur from our performance on Thursday. If you had it in your bag by mistake please can you return it ASAP.

Year 1 will not be taking part in sports day this year. Next year they will have sports day as they will be having a regular PE lesson with Mr Trebble.

On Friday we have our annual school dance day. We welcome you all to come along and join us on the main school field at 2.30pm. Preschool have a danced to show.

This week we have our sponsored bike and scooter days. Each child came home last week with a slip to say which day they need to bring their bike or scooter in. Please could all children bring a helmet as well. The money raised from preschool families for this event  will be used to purchased some new pedal bikes for the pre-school children.
