Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have had a lovely week. We have kept very busy with painting, crafting, and lots of exploring adventure’s out in the garden. We really enjoyed fishing for the insects in the water tray. We have been watching the caterpillars eating all the food in their containers. The children are very much looking forward to watching them build their cocoon. This week we are going to start to look at the seaside and we have lots of fun things planned for this.

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will be looking at celebrating differences. We will continue to look at the differences we all have and that of animals such as: Slugs have four noses, a Snail can sleep for 3 years, a Hippo can run faster than a man. All very interesting and true. We did not have time to do much of this last week!

Letters and Sounds

This week we are going to play matching objects in the sand to see if the children can search to find the matching toys.

Notices

If you could continue to apply sunscreen to your child before they arrive at Pre-School this would be an amazing help. This means we are able to maximise the time we spend with the children developing their learning and education. We will put out the suncream list and you can tick off your child’s name at drop off in the morning.

On Wednesday and Thursday we have our Peter Pan performance. If your child attends on one of these days please could they bring there Pyjamas and teddy in a named plastic bag. If you would like to come and watch please email the main office to let them know. Please look at previous letters for more information.

Stay and play is on Thursday 23rd June from 8.30am. Everyone welcome.
