Hello everyone...

Hello Everyone,

We  had a lovely week.  We had lots of fun painting for the display board. We are creating a Brown Bear. The sand tray was explored this week and we did some hunting for objects. 

 We joined the year 2 class for snack time and played together outside. The children have loved the musical instruments and the Tappy sticks.

We also had a go at some mark making with the baby lotion which was lots of fun.

This week we will be doing Farming and Harvest with our trip to the farm on Friday.  We have some more fun things planned. We have some more of the class joining us this week so we look forward to meeting them all.

Please keep the lovely Wow’s coming in. The children love recalling what they had done at group times.

Looking forward to a fun packed learning experience this week.

It would be great if all pre-school t-shirts and jumpers can be named.

This week it is Bike to school week. Children very welcome to come on their bikes or scooters to school. 

I will be doing an information session about what we do in Year 1 e.g. Keyworkers, Jennie Jigsaw, Sounds and Letters,EYFS etc. This is going to be on Monday 4th October and hope to see lots of you there, as there will be lots of useful information to support your child.

Hello Everyone,

We  had great fun this week.  We have loved spending time continuing to explore and learning about our new surroundings. The children have had fun playing in the role play area this week and learning all the different animals and colours in the Brown Bear story.We painted some Brown Bears which are on our display board in the classroom. The water tray was loved this week and we did some picking up objects with tongs. 

 We joined the year 2 class for snack time and played together outside. The children have loved the garden area and loved playing with the basket ball net.

This week we will continue looking at the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?’ We have some more fun things planned. 

Please continue to ask us any questions you may have thought of over the last few days.

 Marvellous Me -  we have sent some pictures throughout the week so you can see what your child has been up to. Our aim is to send at least one home each week.

Thank you for the  Wow’s that came back. The children love recalling what they had done at group times.

If you have any family pictures you would also like to share then please bring them in or they can be emailed for us to print out.  The children love to look at the family pictures displayed in the classroom.

This week the weather is looking lovely and sunny. If you could apply sun cream to your child before they arrive at Pre-School in the mornings this would be a great help to us. 

It would be great if all pre-school t-shirts and jumpers can be named.

I will be doing an information session about what we do in Year 1 e.g. Keyworkers, Jennie Jigsaw, Sounds and Letters,EYFS etc. Please look out for the letter and hope to see lots of you there, as there will be lots of useful information to support your child. 

Please bring your child a spare change of clothes as the children do like to get quite messy during their play. We do have aprons but feel these can be restrictive. We would rather the children do a lovely painting rather than worry about using an apron.

Please check your child’s bag as we will ensure all letters will be put safely inside.

Hello everyone...

 

Hello Everyone,

We have had a great first week together. We have loved spending time exploring our new classroom. The children enjoyed using various tools to mark make with the paint. They also loved using the felt tips to create new pictures. The sand tray was used and the children enjoyed scooping and pouring sand from the containers. We had some great little talk times and enjoyed the musical instruments listening to the different sounds we could make. 

As the term has started quiet for the year 1 group we have been in our classroom most morning so we could get used to our new surroundings. We have joined the year 2 class for snack time and played together outside. The children have loved the garden area and loved playing in the Tree house. 

This week we will be looking at the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see’ This will help us to focus on animals and colours, we have lots of fun activities planned.

Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have thought of over the first week. 

Hopefully you will see we have started to send out some Marvellous Me’s of some of the fun activities and learning your child has been doing this week.

During the week we put some Wow’s in your child’s bag so you could record any amazing learning/activities they have done over the weekend.

 We are very proud of these and we read them and the children share these with the group. If you have any family pictures you would also like to share then please bring them in. The children love to look at the family pictures displayed in the classroom.

On Saturday 18th September is the summer fayre from 11.00-3.00pm in the playground at school. Please see poster for more details. Look forward to seeing lots of you there.

Welcome everyone to the Prince of Wales Pre-school

Hello Everyone,

We hope you have had a great summer and are ready for your child to come and have some amazing fun learning experiences at Pre-School.

We are really looking forward to meeting all of your children over the next few weeks. It was lovely to meet you all during the stay and play and spend some time with your children.

The children will have lots of fun exploring their new surroundings and we have lots of great adventures planned.

Please feel free to give us a call if you would like to know how your child is settling.

If you complete the Marvellous Me paperwork we will be able to send you some photos of the morning.

Zoe and Chloe will give you a ring on the first morning to give feedback on  how your child is settling in.

Notices

On Wednesday evening at 7.30pm POWSA have got a meeting in the school hall. It is a great opportunity to support the pre-school/school and meet new friends. If you would like more information please come and ask.

We place all lunch boxes in the fridge, please label lunch boxes and drinks bottles with your child's name. If you would like to order your child a hot lunch, please speak to a member of staff and Caroline will arrange a hot lunch code for you.
