Hello everyone...

Hello  Everyone,

We have had a great first week back together. 

The Butterflies were set free in the garden on Monday afternoon which the children loved. 

The children loved making the spring window display and they are all up. We welcomed some new children to the class and they are all settling in really well.

Out in the garden we played some lovely games together and it’s lovely to see the children progressing in their learning.

This week we are focusing on ‘Goldilocks’ and we have lots of fun activities planned. We also hope to do some craft and some baking.

 

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will be talking about friendships and kind things to say to others.

Letters and sounds

This week we will play: name that animal?  Can the children identify the animals from a set of clues. This helps the children to develop their logical thinking skills.

Notices

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. Please  apply suncream to your child before school and tick your child's name off on the list which will be on the green table by the pre-school door. If you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure either it is in their bags or a spare is kept at pre-school. 

On the whiteboard outside the classroom door is a pocket with Home Wow slips in, please help yourself to these. We love celebrating the children's home WOW'S.

The Big Pedal

The Big pedal continues tomorrow Monday (26th April) and we encourage children to come to school by bike or scooter if they can during this fortnight (and beyond). To prepare for the event Sustrans have provided us with some safety check videos to help you and your child get their bikes or scooters ready.

Next term sessions

At the end of last week we sent home a letter about sessions for next term. If you attend this term on the days which say full  you will be able to have these session as well next term but if you were hoping to book these days for next term we are full for these days. If you have any questions then please just ask.

Hello everyone

Hello  Everyone,

We hope you have had a great half term break and enjoyed the lovely dry weather?

We can't wait to see everyone and hear about all your adventures. 

Over the coming  weeks we will welcome some new children into the class.

This week  will be settling back in and exploring  the interests of the children and extending their activities, helping to build new skills. 

The Butterflies have hatched and we will be setting them free to their new life in the garden. 

 

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will be continuing to talk about the feelings of others and how to encourage this in our play. Learning our friends' names as we may have forgotten them over the break. 

Letters and sounds

This week we will play Who’s the keeper of the key?  Can the children identify who has the keys?? This helps the children to develop their logical thinking skills.

We welcome Suzanne to the Pre-School team this term and Suzanne is very much looking forward to working with the children. Suzanne will be based in the Year 1 class in the mornings and working with the Year 2 some afternoons.
