Hello everyone...

 



Year 1


Hello Everyone, 


We have had a lovely week exploring colours and taking part in lots of fun activities.  On Monday we read lots of stories about colours and really enjoyed the Elmer story. On Tuesday we created some lovely colour spinning pictures using the salad spinner. On Wednesday we completed a colour hunt in the afternoon. OnThursday we played a lovely colour matching game together.  On Friday we did some great painting using paint and cotton buds. These looked very creative and colourful. 


This week we will continue with our colour focus and have lots more fun things planned. Please continue to bring in any  favourite colour items and bring them in for  show and tell.

Zoe is looking forward to  parents' evening and sharing all your child's progress and achievements with you. If you are unable to make any of the time slots we can arrange another time after school so please just let Zoe know. 


This week stay and play is on Thursday

morning at 8.30-9.00am.


On Thursday evening at 6.30pm in the main school staff room POWSA have their monthly meeting. Everyone welcome and if you would like more information come and speak to Julia.

Hello everyone.....





Hello Everyone, 


We have some very exciting news to announce...... Chloe's beautiful baby girl arrived on Saturday. We would like to congratulate Chloe and Callum on the birth of Sophia Florence Williams.



We have had a great week and we had lots of fun exploring the theme of Goldilocks. On Monday we read the story and role played it with some puppets. On Tuesday we made cutting and sticking Bear faces together. On Wednesday we made Goldilocks faces and gave them some really good hair. On Thursday we loved tasting the porridge at snacktime. Some children tried it with honey and others jam. On Friday we did some great sticking and cutting of our porridge bowls. 


This week we will be focussing on colour work and we have lots of fun activities planned. If your child has a favourite colour and would like to bring it in to show they would be very welcome.

Please continue to sign up for  parents evening.If you are unable to make any of the time slots we can arrange another time after school so please just let Zoe know. 


Stay and play this week is on Tuesday 24th January 8.30-9.00am.  Everyone welcome including younger and older siblings.

On Friday evening at 5.30 we have our POWSA film night in the main school hall to watch the film of The good dinosaur. Tickets for this event can be bought from the main school office. Hope to see lots of you there. See poster for more details.

Hello everyone......

 


Year 1


Hello Everyone, 


We have had a lovely first week back. The children have settled well and it was lovely to see them listening to each other and playing so well together. We did some great construction using the large wooden bricks and played some great team games at group times. 

This week we will be focussing on Goldilocks and the Three Bears and we will be exploring lots of fun activities. We will also be continuing with the finger frenzy work in the flour and adding numbers to our construction investigations. The children loved exploring with the oats and the weighing scales. We will also be tasting some porridge this week!

Zoe is looking forward to the parents evening and will complete any EYFS check during the meetings. 


It was great to see so many of you at stay and play this Thursday morning and on Saturday morning.  These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Friday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

Chloe’s last week this week, We can't wait to meet her baby in a few weeks time!

Zoe would like to complete the EYFS checks and settling in meetings.. Zoe will continue to catch you if we need to meet.  Planning ahead Zoe can do Monday’s, Wednesdays or Fridays’ after school at 3.45 each day. It will be great to meet with you and talk about your child’s progress.  



Stay and play morning sessions will be posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Thursday

Hello everyone.....

 


Year 1


Hello Everyone, 


We hope you have had a lovely Christmas and had lots of fun together. We are very much looking forward to hearing all about it during our group times this week! If you would like to please email or bring in some photos. 


This week we will be settling back in, welcoming some new children to the class. We plan to do some great finger frenzy activities and construction play. 

The children will be very tired this first week getting back in the routine of things so please don’t worry. 


Notices


We welcome our new member of staff Laura Webb to the Pre-school Team. Laura will be working in pre-school Year 1 on Wednesday and Thursday morning. Also we welcome James Long to the Pre-school Year 1 Team on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from the 16th January. Many of the children have met James already as he works at CAPOW after school club.


Zoe would like to complete the EYFS checks and settling in meetings. If we could plan all these for the week of the 9th January 2023.
