Hello everyone.....

 

Year 1

Hello Everyone, 

We have been playing lots of Farm games. I think the children’s favourite was making the animal noises. 

The children loved making the crumble and of course the next bit was getting to eat it!

We enjoyed making some sheep and exploring lots of different food types and where they came from. 

This week we will be looking at punkins and exploring vegetables and crafting and tasting with them.

Healthy Movers

We will be continuing going on a Jungle Journey

The skills we will be working on are crawling, rolling, stepping, walking, jogging, running, jumping, hopping, leaping, skipping and marching.

If you can continue to help your child to put on their own shoes this is a really useful skill to have. Also putting on their own coats. This really helps them to learn this valuable skill.

Zoe is looking forward to catching up with you all at parents evenings tomorrow evening.

Hello Everyone, 

We have been very busy and have loved finding more about Farming and have had lots of fun exploring. We loved going to see the Tractor at school and asked lots of questions about it. We have explored animals that live on the farm and have loved singing about old McDonald. We played matching farm lotto, animal sounds games. We have been playing some team games and playing some listening games and learning to work together. 

This week we will be continuing with ‘Farming fortnight’ to look forward to. We can’t wait and we all really love this time of year.  We have lots of fun activities planned and the children have given us some ideas of what they would like to do as well.

On  Thursday afternoon at 3.10pm we invite you to come to story time. Please come to the door which you drop off and collect from.  Hope to see you there.

Hello everyone...

 

Year 1

Hello Everyone, 

We have had a lovely week and have loved exploring Autumn. There is so much to do and see. We have been on some great adventures throughout the week.

We have made some Hedgehogs that look great up on our wall display. Been on a listening sounds walk, visited the reading boat over by school, played football together on the school field. Done some brak rubbing from the trees on the school grounds. Also crafted some leaves to make a leaf garland. The children were great at looking at all the different colours and sounds that they could hear during the week. 

The children have been more expressive in the garden and are starting to access different equipment which is lovely to see.  

This week we will be learning all about farming and we have ‘Farming fortnight’ to look forward to. We can’t wait and we all really love this time of year.  

Healthy Movers

We will be continuing with birds in the tree which is a very fun game. I am sure the children will tell you all about it.! 

The skills we will be working on are balancing, landing, balancing, pivoting, twisting, lunging, bending, stretching and turning. 

If you can continue to help your child to put on their own shoes this is a really useful skill to have. Also putting on their own coats. This really helps them to learn this valuable skill.

On Monday afternoon at 3.10pm we invite you to come to story time. Please come to the door which you drop off and collect from. 

Please try to leave all home toys/comfort objects in your child’s bag. 

We can then keep track of what has come out so they don’t get lost.

We will be having a parents information session coming up soon when all the children for this term have joined the class.
