Hello everyone.....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We had a lovely first week back getting into the swing of things. We loved looking at colours and played some great games to explore our knowledge of them. The children loved playing with the scarves during group times and were able to recognise which colours belonged to the group. The children have enjoyed exploring all the new equipment out in the garden.

Healthy Movers

We will be doing  ‘Birds on the wire’. We are sure the children are going to love this activity and enjoy moving in a variety of ways. We will be exploring shapes this week and including those made from shadows out in the garden.

Please keep the ‘Wow’s’ coming in. We will put some into bags this week. The children are learning many new skills that need to be celebrated!

Home Learning

Can your child pull up their own pants and trousers when they have finished in the toilet?

Can your child put on their own shoes?

Is your child able to help with dressing in the mornings?

These tasks are always optional but are great to see the progression of your child's skills and knowledge building.

Notices

Please remember the classroom door opens at 8.55.

The weather this week is going to be sunny. It would be great if you could apply sunscreen to your children before you dress in the morning. We will then reapply the suncream for the afternoon. When the weather is nice we will always have the suncream out on a table so you can pop some on while you wait for the door to open.

On Thursday it is story time at 3.10pm. Everyone welcome. Please come to the classroom door.

If you have any further questions you can email Zoe on the following email. z.stockley@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Let's have lots of fun together
