Hello everyone...

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

The children have enjoyed playing with all toys to do with transport. They have done some good sorting into groups and describing the different vehicles and what they are/ where they are used. We have seen some great mark making in the craft area. The children have really enjoyed developing their scissor skills during the week.

This week we will be focusing on numbers and counting. We will be embedding knowledge of numerals 1-5. We have lots of fun games and activities planned.

Healthy Movers

We will be playing with the balls and the bean bags this week to develop our throwing and catching skills.

Please keep the ‘Wow’s’ coming in. We will put some into bags this week. The children are learning many new skills that need to be celebrated!

Home Learning

Can your child pull up their own pants and trousers when they have finished in the toilet? The children are really developing in this area so thank you for your support with this skill.

Can your child put on their own shoes?

Is your child able to help with dressing in the mornings?

These tasks are always optional but are great to see the progression of your child's skills and knowledge building.

The year 1 class do not visit the postbox to post their invitation to the Grandparents elevenses,  Sorry about the admin error. This is something that the year 2 class take part in.

We break up for half term on Friday 23rd May and return back on Monday 2nd June.

The weather this week is going to be sunny. It would be great if you could apply sunscreen to your children before you dress in the morning. We will then reapply the suncream for the afternoon. When the weather is nice we will always have the suncream out on a table so you can pop some on while you wait for the door to open.

On Wednesday at 3.10pm we have Share a story time. Everyone welcome.

Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

The children have had a lovely week. They have enjoyed exploring colours and now have a good understanding of many colours. The children really enjoyed exploring the new resources in the garden and have enjoyed playing alongside each other which is lovely to see. This group has a keen interest in stories and remember many of the details and can make up their own story while looking at a book of their choice.

Thank you to the parents who changed  their plan to accommodate the staffing on Friday, this was very much appreciated.

This week we are going to be looking at different forms of transport and exploring this topic further. We have lots of great activities planned and can’t wait to share these with the children.

Healthy Movers

We will be doing  some sticky kids songs this week, we are sure the children are going to enjoy these.
