Hello everyone.....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

The children have really enjoyed their week and have loved playing with their favourite things in the year 1 classroom. We played some fun group games and listened to some great music.

For the last couple of days we will be enjoying all of the activities together. We can’t believe the year has flown by and the children have become active learners. They have built great relationships with each other and are well prepared for their journey into the Preschool year 2 classroom.

Healthy Movers

We will be using our scarves to move to music this week. This helps with the children’s spatial awareness  and coordination.

Home Learning

Can your child pull up their own pants and trousers when they have finished in the toilet? The children are really developing in this area so thank you for your support with this skill.

Can your child put on their own shoes?

Is your child able to help with dressing in the mornings?

These tasks are always optional but are great to see the progression of your child's skills and knowledge building.

We would like to wish you all a great summer break and look forward to seeing you all again in September.

Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

The children have enjoyed the beach theme this week. They have done some great creations in the sandpit and loved mixing the sand and water together inside.

We have played some number games, colour matching activities. The children have been very imaginative in the role play area and have been making a narrative to their play.

This week we will be continuing with this Beach theme and the story focus will be sharing a shell. We have lots of interesting things to investigate and we are sure the children are going to enjoy this.

Healthy Movers

We will be continuing with moving to all types of music this week and using some descriptive words about how they make us feel.

Please keep the ‘Wow’s’ coming in. We will put some into bags this week. The children are learning many new skills that need to be celebrated!

The weather this week is going to be sunny. It would be great if you could apply sunscreen to your children before you dress in the morning. We will then reapply the suncream for the afternoon. When the weather is nice we will always have the suncream out on a table so you can pop some on while you wait for the door to open.
