Year 1
Hello Everyone,
We have had a nice week of learning together. We have played some games about emotions and enjoyed pulling some different faces and talked about how we were feeling and when we may see them.
We played some small group games and the children really liked the frog activity in the shallow water tray. Outside the children practiced their basketball skills. The role play area has all been about looking after the babies this week which has shown the children working together to see that all the babies are dressed and fed.
We have made the most of our lovely indoor spaces when it has been wet. The children have enjoyed the soft play room and the sensory room. The large box that 6 children could get inside was definitely a highlight of the week!
This week we will be focussing on the story of The Three Bears and we have lots of fun things and Maths games to explore.
Healthy Movers
This week we will be moving our bodies to the sticky kids songs which we are sure the children will love.
Please keep the ‘Wow’s’ coming in. The children are learning many new skills that need to be celebrated! I will put some more in the childrens bags this week.If you have any photos from the last couple of weeks please feel free to send them to Zoe on the email address below. The children love to recognise them on the big screen during group times.
Home Learning
Can you help lay the table for a meal?
Can you make a nervous face?
Can you find something that is big and something that is small?
If you can continue to help your child to put on their own shoes, children are still finding this a challenge. This is a really useful skill to have. Also putting on their own coats. This really helps them to learn this valuable skill.
