Easter

Hello Everyone,

We have had talking about ‘spring’ this week and some of the changes that we will be starting to see. We helped Sharon to do some gardening outside and planted a few new seeds.  We have been visiting the year 2 classroom to see if we can see any changes with the eggs or Tadpoles starting to grow.
This week we will be learning about ‘Easter’ and the starting our act activities based on this theme. We will be doing some display work for our classroom on ‘spring’ and ‘Easter’

Letters and Sounds
The listening moment’s activities went well with the children learning new descriptive words as well as learning to listen to each other for a short time.
We will continue with ‘Mrs Browning has a box’ we sing a song and add in a different sound from behind a box and the children have to guess what it is. The group have enjoyed this and wanted to have a go at using the box themselves.

Jigsaw
We will be continuing to have discussions at group times throughout the day. Thank you to the families who brought in pictures of their animals we have displayed them to the jigsaw board. It’s interesting from a young age how children know which animals they are going to have when they are older and their likes and dislikes to animals.
This is to help reinforce Personal, Social and Emotional Development and help them to make life choices.

Home Learning
We hope you have all enjoyed the extra snow day?! Continue to send in any photo’s you have taken over the weekend. If you would like to bring in any pet photo’s to add to our display that would be great.
Please remind Zoe and Chloe if you need to re-schedule your Parent’s evening and we can get these arranged.
Looking forward to a busy week of crafting fun.
