Hello Everyone,

We hope you have all had a lovely couple of weeks off with your families. We will be asking the children to recall what they have been up to so, we can record this in their learning journeys.
We are looking forward to the summer term with lots of exciting things planned and hopefully some lovely sunny days.
Our focus for the next couple of weeks if ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Mini Beasts’
During this time, we are going to be hatching our own beautiful Butterfly’s. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back this week.
Over the holidays we have had our new fence put up to extend the pre-school playground. It looks fantastic and is going to enhance our outdoor provision greatly. To enter the pre-school please continue to come the same way as before. I hope you have all enjoyed watching the live web cam of the chicks. We have also rescues 7 hens which are now in the chicken enclosure.

Letters and Sounds

This week we will be concentrating on the noises that instruments make and if we are able to play them, as we are given instructions such as loud, soft etc. We will also work on following a short pattern of sounds.

Jigsaw

We will be telling any news of our holidays. Who we spent time with and what we enjoyed the most. We will recall Easter and draw some pictures. We will be welcoming a couple of new friends to year 1 this term and will be playing group games so the whole group can remember names after our break.
This is to help reinforce Personal, Social and Emotional Development and help them to make life choices.

Home Learning

Please bring in any wows about your Easter so that we can talk about these.
Now is a great chance for any one who still wears nappies to start to make the transition in to pants. We will give our full support to this and please come and speak to any of the staff if you would like any advice on how to start.

Notices

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. If you have applied suncream to your child before school please could you let a member of staff know. If you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure children have this when they come to pre-school ready for us to apply.
