Science week

Hello Everyone,

What a great week, the children loved the ‘Chinese New Year’ I think the best part was trying the food at snack time!
They did some great craft work for our display, worked together well and discussed how they felt about pigs.
This week we will be joining in with Eco week at school. We will be doing some recycling, talking about reducing plastics and also taking part in a ‘litter picking’ session a round the school.

Jennie Jigsaw

We will be playing all the games we have played over the last few weeks and seeing how the children can remember these.
The children have really good memories and listening skills, including listening to each other which is great to see.

Letters and Sounds

Last week we went on a listening walk which made us think of our describing words while in the outside environment.
We are going to focus on Tappy stick and musical instrument play this week. We are going to be making up rhyming songs and performing these in pairs.

Home Learning

Please send in some Wow’s of anything you do over the half term holiday.
We hope you all have a lovely beak and that we get a bit more of the dry weather so we can wrap up and get out over our days off.

Notices

It was great to catch up with you all at parents evening, if you did not make it and would like to see Zoe I am more than happy to arrange this with you. Just let me know.

It was lovely to see you at the coffee morning and give you an introduction to the Prince of Wales Preschool. It’s always a nice chance to meet all the other parents in the group so you can put a name to the face.

Please remember to check your Child’s post pocket when you hang up coats in the
mornings, all important post will be there.

Don't forget to bring in your child's WOW moments. We love to share and celebrate these with everyone. There are spare WOW's by the WOW board in the corridor.

On Wednesday 13th February at 3.10pm we have got our story time session. Please come and join us.

It was lovely to see some of you at Stay and Play on Wednesday. This week Stay and Play will be on Thursday 14th February  from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

We break up for half term on Thursday 14th February and return to school on Monday 25th February.

Our next Saturday Stay and Play is on Saturday 16th March from 10.00-11.30am. Younger and old siblings very welcome to join us.
