The very hungry caterpillar

Hello Everyone,

We had a very busy week last week reporting about everything we had done over the Easter break. We had great fun mark making these adventures and telling our friends all about them.
The children were a little bit unsure of the Chicks as they had grown so much and did not seem so cuddly and fluffy!
We had fun spotting all the new plants that have started to flower in the garden and learnt how to take care of these keeping them healthy.

This week we will be continuing our story focus on ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ hopefully our delivery has arrived and we can set up our secure net area to watch the growth process of our Caterpillar’s.
We will also be creating some display work and tasting some foods that the Caterpillars may like to see if we like them.

This week we will be talking about friendships and how we can encourage these friendships in the group.
Talking about what we like in group time to see what connections we have with others. Feelings and smiling, words to use if you don’t like something or would prefer not to join in.

Letters and Sounds
This week we will be playing ‘Teddy lost in the room’ it’s been a while since we have played this so it will be interesting to see who remembers how to play. We will also play ‘Tappy Sticks.’

Home Learning
Please can you look for Bug’s when you are out walking and describe them with your child. We are hoping to build up on the descriptive language that your child already knows.
