The very hungry caterpillar

Hello Everyone,

We had been very interested in watching the Caterpillars, they are now getting very fat and will soon be turning to chrysalides over this next week. The food tasting of the Hungry Caterpillar foods went really well and the children were happy to try all of the new fruits.

This week we will continue to make our 3d models of Butterflies. We will also be mark making and colour mixing to create Butterfly artwork.

During the week we will also be looking for what other bugs we can find in the outside areas of Pre-School.

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will be talking to the children about standing up for your self. This includes making relationships, self confidence and self awareness and managing feelings and behaviours. We will be playing some games in groups with an adult to help us with what responses would be good to use.

Letters and Sounds 

This week we will be playing ‘Teddy lost in the room’ which is a listening game to see if we can recognise where the bear is in the room, with the help of our friends. We will also play ‘Tappy Sticks.’ 

Home Learning 

Please continue to share any Wow’s with us. The children are enjoying looking at the photo’s of each other so if you have any this would be great.

Notices

As the weather is starting to warm, please could all children bring sun hats to school. We do have a box of spares if needed. If you have applied suncream to your child before school please could you let a member of staff know. If you have ticked to supply your own suncream, please could you make sure children have this when they come to Pre-school ready for us to apply.

It was lovely to see some of you at Stay and Play on Thursday. This week Stay and Play will be on Friday 17th May  from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

On Tuesday 14th May we have our story time at 3.10pm. Please come and join us. 

Our Saturday Stay and Play morning is on the 18th May from 10.00-11.30am. Hope to see lots of you there. Younger and older siblings are very welcome. We have also got our community make over day happening from 10-5pm.

Last week we had great fun completing our sponsor scooter and bike round. Thank you for all the support and sponsorship money.  Please bring sponsorship in by Friday 17th May.

On Thursday 13th June 2019 we have got the Happy Circus coming to school for an evening circus performance. Tickets can be purchased now   at a great price of £10.50 each. Tickets can be purchased from the Main school office. 

Please remember to check your Child’s post pocket when you hang up coats in the mornings, all important post will be there.
