Christmas

Hello Everyone,

We have had a great first week starting to make our Christmas crafts. We have finished creating our 12 days of Christmas decorations for the Christmas tree at the church so please make sure you pop in if you are passing the St George’s church. We also managed to create our Christmas cards and we are very pleased with the end results. We have also had fun feeding the animals and seeing how much they like to eat and what kinds of fresh food they like. We have been making predictions about this.
This week we are going to be creating our calendars which will be great. We will also continue with our Christmas decorations to take home for our own tree’s.  We will learn some lovely songs and hopefully they will sing them to you at home over the Christmas period.

This week we will continue with our feelings focus, friendships. We will start to talk about managing our own feelings and behaviours. Understanding routines and boundaries and talk about how our actions may affect others in the group.
We will play some games with the magic noise box to see if the children can guess what is in side the box.
We will continue to play ‘ Teddy lost in the room’ which is a guessing game of where the Teddy may be hiding from the noise the drum is making. children have loved this and find it really hard not to say where we have hidden the bears.

Letters and Sounds
This week we will be performing some christmas dancing using Christmas materiels to various types of Christmas music.

Home Learning
Please continue to bring in any Wow’s of any amazing achievements your child has made.

Notices

Please remember to check your Child’s post pocket when you hang up coats. Caroline puts lots of important letters, it gets quite busy with lots going on over the Christmas period.

On Wednesday 11th December  we have our story time at 3.10pm. Please come and join us. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there. If you are able to arrive as close to 3:10pm as possible that would be fantastic, if you do not make it until after 3:15 we would politely request that you wait to collect your child at the normal pick up time as, I am sure you will appreciate, it is quite disturbing for the children and also getting ready for the end of the day is a busy time. Many thanks for your support and cooperation on this matter.

On Friday 13th December is Christmas Jumper day supporting Save the Children. Suggested donation of £1.00.

It was lovely to see some of you at Stay and Play on Friday. This week Stay and Play will be on Wednesday 11th December from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

On Friday 13th December from 3.30pm is the Christmas Fair in the main school hall. Please come and join us and raise money for POWSA.  Father Christmas is at the event and a slot can be booked at the main school office.

On Thursday 12th December is our family Christmas breakfast from 8.30-9.15am. Please return slip to help us cater for the event.

If your child would like a Christmas lunch, please see myself or Caroline for a Hot lunch code. These need to ordered by Monday 9th December.

Let’s have a great week together.

Zoe and Chloe
