Book week....

Hello Everyone,

The children really loved the story of the ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’
We learnt lots of new descriptive language, talked about staying safe when we are out and tried some porridge which they all had a little taste.

This week we will have a book focused on the few days leading up to ‘World Book Day’ on Thursday. We are sure lots of the children will enjoy dressing up for the occasion. If your child would like to bring in their favourite book to read with the group then please do. If you could make sure they have a pencil name inside the front cover this would be great. If you would like to come in at 3.10 and share your child’s favourite story with the group you would be most welcome. Just mention this to Zoe or Chloe.
We will be doing lots of fun activities linked to books throughout the week.
Year 2 from school are going to be starting a storytime each week with our children. They will come over in pairs and read to the children at grouptime. This is an amazing opportunity which is loved by all the children and quite magical to watch in action.

Letters and Sounds
This week we will be continuing playing ‘Repeated rhythms’ . This is a great listening game. The children have to guess the tappy sticks to tap back a rhythm.

Home Learning
Please continue to bring in any Wow’s of any amazing moments.
