Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

Hello Everyone,

We have had a lovely week learning lots of new things and have really started to  play alongside and seek out others to play with which has been great to see. We had lots of adventures on our Bear Hunt and managed to track him down in the end. We enjoyed making our binoculars and our own cutting and sticking bears. We had various shapes to make in the play dough and used lots of different descriptive words. Our paintings have been displayed on the wall in our classroom and we will send some photos on Marvelous me so you are able to see them.

We did some songs with the ‘Tappy sticks’ which everyone enjoyed. The children are starting to have a good sense of rhythm.

This week we will be focussing on the story of ‘ Brown bear, brown bear what do you see’

We have lots of fun activities and resources planned. We are hoping to play on the trim trail over at school and also the ship area just next to pre-school during the  week

Letters and Sounds

We will be starting to do some letters and sounds activities during group times. This week we will be going on a listening walk to see if we can identify some of the outdoor sounds we can hear all around us. We will also see how many environmental sounds the children already know.

Jennie Jigsaw

Each week we will be doing activities to promote personal and social development in the children/class.

This week we will be starting the first piece of the puzzle which is ‘Being me in my world’ We will be talking in small group times about what is the same and what is different and all the different things we like to do. This will also include foods which we prefer and those we just like to try.

Caroline has now sent out the Marvelous Me consent forms. If you could return these as soon as possible we can start sending you some photos. You will then just need to download the Marvelous Me app.

Have a great week and look forward to seeing you all soon.

See you all soon
