Hello everyone....

Hello Everyone,

We have been very busy and very creative this week and had lots of fun too!

Monday we played with the playdough and made the Bears porridge on the mats. We used the cooured pegs to make some patterns on the peg boards.

We played with the number puzzles and played with the small world toys.

Tuesday we had great fun mark making with some baby lotion. In the afternoon the children loved playing in the garden where we listened to the sounds the instruments made in the garden.

Wednesday we did some hunting for Bears in the oats. We had a go at counting the Bears when we had found them all.During the  afternoon the children were very interested in using the scissors to make snips on paper.

Thursday we concentrated on the Bear threading and showed such good skill and determination. The children also went in small groups to use the ‘Press Play’ headphones to act out the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children loved this and are starting to get the idea of acting out actions while listening to instructions on the headphones. In the afternoon we made some bear ear hats which the children loved pretending to be Bears. In the afternoon we went on a fun listening to sounds walk out and about around the school grounds. The children loved banging their pipes to see how many different environmental sounds they could make on objects. We also went to the wood area to see if we could see Goldilocks or bears!

Friday morning we did a homemade Science  rocket experiment. We also explored the sensory room in small groups. In the afternoon we played in the garden and enjoyed some small group games. We also watched the animation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Group Times we have been listening really well to what each other has to say when we are talking in the group. The children have become far more confident with their singing and are starting to know all the words to many of the songs.

The children have been  using good descriptive words when talking about the weather and they are all hoping to see the sun soon!

This Week we will be looking at some different nursery rhymes and have many activities planned. We will also be  using the hall for our PE activities. I’m sure the children will love this.
