Hello everyone.....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We hope you have had a great time together and have done some fun things. We look forward to hearing all about these over the coming days. This week we will welcome some new children to the class and we look forward to them joining us.

This week we will be talking about the changing  weather and expectations moving forward such as safety in the sun and wearing sunscreen   and hats in the outside play areas.

This week our book focus will be Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We are sure that the children are going to enjoy this story. We also have lots of fun activities planned throughout the week.

Drop off time -  in preparation to progressing to Pre-School year 2, if we could try really hard to leave your child at the door this would really be of benefit. We do understand that sometimes this is just not possible and will work with you through this process.

Toilet Training - please let us know if you would like to start this process with your child. We are very willing to work with you to get your child into pants before the summer break. As always if we can help you with anything else then please just let us know.

Notices

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Please can you return your sunscreen permission slip if you have not already done so. I’m sure we will start to see the warmer weather when we return.

Please can you ensure your child has a clearly named water bottle that can live at Pre-School for the remainder of the year. With the warmer weather coming we like to keep the children well hydrated.

Save the date....

SAVE THE DATE - MONDAY 22nd MAY 2023 =

#InspiredToLearn Heritage Day

To launch our #InspiredToLearn Global Awareness Week (in partnership with Development Education in Dorset - DEED) we are inviting children in all classes to celebrate the cultural wealth of our school on Monday 22nd May 2023 at our #InspiredToLearn Heritage Day.

On this day, children are welcome to wear clothing associated with their families cultural heritage and/or bring in items to share with their class. This is not a non-school uniform day - children not wearing clothing associated with their families cultural heritage should wear normal school uniform.

Please see your child’s class teacher if you have any questions.
