Around the world....Spain

Hello Everyone,

We have all had a great first week back and have done some great learning.

We had a great time watching the fireworks from London and talking about all the things they could see. Tha main thing that took their attention was the big red buses. We have made some great buses that are displayed on the wall in our classroom.

This week we are setting sail and heading to Spain to look at some of the life styles and cultures. We all have our Passports ready to be stamped and then we will be ready to board the ship. While we are in Spain we will be making some food which will be rainbow rice. Doing some Spanish dancing and we will make some shakers to use during the week.

This week we will continue with our feelings focus, friendships.The new friends are really enjoying their time with us.

We will play ‘ Tappy sticks’ and concentrate on playing loud and soft. We will also be moving to different types of music as we travel to other Countries.

Letters and Sounds 

This week we will be playing sound lotto to see how many different sounds the children can recognise.

Home Learning 

Please continue to bring in any Wow’s of any amazing moments.

Please remember to check your Child’s post pocket when you come in the mornings.We look forward to seeing you all during the week.

I will be asking to catch up with a few parents over the week to complete the settling in EYFS checks. I can be very flexible and do these when you are able to meet.

The sign up sheet for the parental consultation evening will soon be up so please keep an eye watch out for this.

On Wednesday 15th January at 3.10pm we have got our story session. Please come and join us. 

 This week Stay and Play will be on Wednesday 15th January  from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there. 

On Saturday 18th we have got our first community makeover of the year from 10.00-5.00pm. Please come and join us. Any questions please come and see Julia. 

Our next Saturday Stay and Play is on Saturday 25th January from 10.00-11.30am. Younger and old siblings very welcome to join us.
