Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We hope you have had a lovely half term break and enjoyed this weekend of sunshine. We look forward to hearing all the childrens stories about what they have been up to when we see them next.

We had a great last week of term and did lots of fun and exciting activities. The best of all was trying out the PE equipment with Mr Treble in the school hall.

This week we will be celebrating Pancake day on Tuesday and then through the week talking about our favourite books ready for World book Day on Thursday. On Friday we are very lucky as we have the planetarium at school so we will be having a visit over there.

Group Times we will be playing small team games.

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will talk about  ‘Our Feelings’ focusing on what makes us upset.

Letters and Sounds

This week we will be playing with the musical instruments and starting to copy a rhythm.

Home Learning

Please check  out the World Book Day website for some great things to do.

Looking forward to seeing you for a great week of learning while we play and learn new skills.

Please find information below about a useful advice line for parents and carers of 0-5years.

ParentLine is a new confidential text messaging service for parents and carers of 0-5 year olds in Dorset to seek advice via text message from our Health Visiting team about their child’s health.

Parents and carers can seek advice about a range of issues such as breastfeeding, bottle feeding, weaning, sleep, toileting, minor illness, behaviour, parenting and more.

ParentLine will run 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and bank holidays) with a ParentLine Practitioner responding to messages within one working day. If a text is sent outside these hours the parent/carer will receive an automated message with advice on where to get help if they require it urgently. This new messaging service is being provided in addition to the current Health Visiting service offer.
Text 07312 277162 for confidential advice and support from a member of the Health Visiting team
ParentLine is not an emergency service, for urgent medical attention contact your GP, 111 or 999.

Please remember to ask if you have any questions.

The sign up sheet for parent consultations will be going up soon so please watch out for this.
