Hello everyone.....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We have had a great week and done lots of things about being healthy.

The children were really great at naming all of the body parts and loved this activity. We also made some real life large teeth using cotton wool.

We also did some physical activities to help our bodies move in different ways.

This week we will continue on this theme and We have lots of fun things planned.

Healthy Movers

This week we are going to do the activity ‘Birds in the Rainforest’’

This is all about stability and balance. The skills are standing, lying, sitting, stopping, landing, balancing, twisting, lunging, bending, stretching and turning.

Please remember the classroom door opens at 8.50, unless it is a stay and play morning.

Where possible can we please work towards dropping your children off at the classroom door. This is to make preparations to move to preschool year 2. This is to promote independence and readiness for the coming year.

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone this week.

Home Learning

  • How many insects can you identify?

  • Can you get dressed on your own?The children are making great progress with this skill.

We will be starting to send out some challenges for you to help your child to complete at home. Feedback can be sent back using a ‘WOW’ The Challenges will help your child to develop to the next level in their learning and skills.

Notices:-

New sunscreen policies have been sent out if we do not have the permission slip, please complete and return these ASAP. We are hoping for some sunny weather soon!

Please try to leave all home toys at home or in your child’s bag as we struggle to find them if they get lost!
