This book gives a super introduction to the names of baby animals. It also encourages discussion about size, retrieving information from computers and relations.
Using soft toys we'll look at animals and their babies ie sheep and lambs etc. At the drawing table children will be encouraged to copy the toys or draw a picture of themselves as Kipper does.( PD and UW )
As Kipper also uses a computer to search for baby animal names, we'll also discuss their use and take turns having a go on ours.( Understanding The World ).
We will focus on recall and anticipate what might happen next as well ( Literacy ).
Just a small reminder to all parents to ask that all your children's items are clearly labelled including lunchboxes, school t-shirts and jumpers, to avoid confusion. Beakers are provided for children at snack time so drink bottles are not required, unless needed at lunch club. Many Thanks!
