Fireworks

Hello Everyone,

We had a lovely Halloween week making some Pumpkins to hang on the walls.
We very much enjoyed the cake making, starting to look at numbers and making comparisons of the weight and size.
The children enjoyed ‘Room on the Broom’ and saw that the witch was very friendly.
The children listened well to the pants message on Thursday and enjoyed meeting the real life ‘Pantasourous.’
This week we will be learning all about Bonfire Night. We will be having a real open fire up at the round houses area on Monday with a campfire snack with Reception.
We will be making rockets out of junk, focusing on size, shape, and colour.
In the mark making area we will use straws to mark make in the sand and glitter.
We will also do some fire work painting to see if they can recreate some of the fire works they have seen over the week. We will also be making poppies for Remembrance Day.

Jennie Jigsaw
My Turn/ Your turn, is starting to work well. This week we will continue to focus on what we are good at and learning to understand that everyone is different and likes different things.
The children are starting to respond to the wishes of other in the group, watching for facial expressions before they respond.

Letters and Sounds
This week we will repeat playing Mrs Browning has a box. Six noisy things in a box, we sing to the tune of ‘Old McDonald’ the children have to guess what the noise is without being able to see it from inside the box. The children could recognise the sounds when they could see them but, found it difficult when they were inside the box to name them. We will also have some Tappy sticks singing sessions.

Home Learning
Please continue to add to the Wow board. If you would like to email any photo’s then please do and we will print them for the board.
