The little red hen

Hello Everyone,

We have loved learning about cows and the milk they produce.

This week we will be focussing on the ‘Little Red Hen’ We will be bread making with the children making predictions about what was going to happen next.
We will also have fun making Tractor wheel pictures together. We will be starting to introduce the scissors with help so the children know how to use them safely.

This week we will be using vegetables to paint with instead of tools.
We will be encouraging the children to describe the texture of the fruit and what they feel like.

Jennie Jigsaw
This week we will continue with our feelings focus, friendships and what we like and what makes us happy and sad.
We had fun pulling a few faces in the mirror and have been encouraging the children to look in the mirror when they have been trying to wipe their noses.

Letters and Sounds
To follow on from our outside sounds we will be going on a listening walk around the school grounds.
We will talk about the sounds we can hear and new ones we can make with our sound tubes while we walk and play in the outside area.
We will then discuss this when we get back in group times.

Home Learning
With new sounds in mind please could you record on a ‘WOW’ if your child has heard or recognised a new sound while you have been out and about.
