Here's to another great week....

Welcome Everyone,

What a great start we had last week meeting new friends and getting to know each other. We look forward to welcoming more friends to the class this week continuing to have lots of learning, fun times together.

Zoe and Chloe are here to make things as relaxed and if you have any questions then please do ask.

If you would like to ring and check how your child is then please do, we really don’t mind.

Please let us know if someone else is collecting at the end of the session so we know who to look out for. 

We will be continuing to get to know all of our new friends and what everyone likes to do. We will do some display work linked to this so please do have a look.

Last week we talked about ‘Kind Hand’ this week we will be creating some art work on this to display.We will also like to do some cooking this week so look out for tasty treats during the week!

Jennie Jigsaw

This week we will start to learn about ‘Jennie Jigsaw’ we work through group times talking about our emotions and how to develop Personal, Emotional and Social Skills within out everyday life. We will be talking about friendships and learning each others names with some fun games.

Letters and Sounds 

We will be starting to use our listening skills to see what we can hear within the environment. This week we will be using to musical instruments to see is we know any of the names and can describe any of the sounds they make.

Home Learning 

Please could you bring in a picture of a person or animal that is special to your child. We will start to make a display on our Jigsaw board. This always helps the children to feel reassured if they have a familiar picture that they can go and look at.

Notices

Every week there will be a blog about everything that is happening at pre-school and home learning you may like to do. This is normally published on a Sunday evening. 

  This week Stay and Play will be on Wednesday 11th September  from 8.30-9.00am. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

On Tuesday 10th September we have our story time at 3.10pm. Please come and join us. Everyone is very welcome including younger and older siblings. Hope to see lots of you there.

If you are staying for lunch please place your lunchbox in the box ready to go into the fridge.

On Tuesday 10th September at 7.30pm in the school staff room is our POWSA meeting. 

WHAT IS POWSA? 

For those who have never attended a POWSA meeting before the thought can be intimidating but we are all friendly parents who want to help the school offer the best of opportunities to all the pupils who pass through it's doors, whilst having a little fun along the way. We give up a little bit of time every now and then to help provide some of those extras that help make our school such a fantastic place and if you would like to learn more we would love to see you. If you have any questions please come and see Julia. 

Please bring any WOW's for our WOW board you have and if you need some WOW slips, please come and ask one of the staff.

There will be a coffee morning once all our first group of children have started where I will  be doing a talk about what we do in Year 1 e.g. Home learning sacks, Keyworkers, Jennie Jigsaw, Sounds and Letters and EYFS etc. Please look out for the letter and hope to see lots of you there, as there will be lots of useful information to support your child.
