Hello everyone......

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We had a great week last week. We enjoyed lots of time outside and did some ball games and counting. Some of the children really challenged their learning and became very adventurous. At group times the children are really getting confident about their news and will talk out in front of the group.

This week we will continue the Theme of Transport and Travel. Time ran away with us last week and we did some great learning led by the children’s own interests which was lovely.  We also have lots of fun activities planned throughout the week. We are also going to experiment with different types of painting and display these in the classroom.

Please can you ensure all T Shirts and Jumpers are named as the children take them off and put them down and then we can’t identify who they belong to. Any lunch boxes and bottles too, this is a great help to us.

Notices

On Thursday morning this week we have our grandparents snack. Grandparents are invited to arrive for 10.00am at the main pre-school entrance. This event will finish at 11.45am. Please return your slip to enable us to cater for the number of grandparents attending.

This week stay and play is on Tuesday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Please can you return your sunscreen permission slip if you have not already done so. I’m sure we will start to see the warmer weather when we return.

Can you  practise taking off your jumper and putting it back on?

Can you visit your local park for a play? Can you swing, jump, balance and climb?

Please send in any pictures of your child’s achievements and adventures.  Please send your photos to z.stockley@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk and we will print them off for you to stick in their Marvellous Me books.

Looking forward to seeing you all and hearing about all your news.
