Year 1
Hello Everyone,
We have had a great first week back. The children have settled straight back in and enjoyed playing and participating in a variety of activities. They have really enjoyed group games together and singing and dancing together. Construction and small world play is lovely to watch as they are really developing their thinking and ideas.
This week we are going to be exploring Fireworks and Bonfires. We hope your children may have been able to see some fireworks and we will develop their interests and vocabulary. We have some great things planned and this will be a good opportunity to recap our knowledge on colours and counting.
Healthy Movers
Each week to enhance our curriculum we will be planning a Healthy Movers activity with the children. This is to develop the whole child through fun physical activities in the early years. This week we will be playing Pop the BUbbles with supports agility and locomotion.
Home Learning
Can you help to pair up the socks once they are dry?
Do you know what house number you live in?
Please bring in any wow’s you may have completed. Please also remember your child’s birth certificate so Caroline is able to process your funding when it becomes available.
Stay and play morning sessions are now posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Thursday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

POWSA Events
On Wednesday 8th November is a POWSA meeting in the staff room at 7.30pm, everyone very welcome. If you would like any information please come and see Julia.
Future POWSA Events
We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.
