Year 1

Hello Everyone, 

We had a great week and we did some really fun learning together. We loved creating our memories from Firework night and creating our Firework biscuits, which they all enjoyed very much. In the garden we practised our ball throwing skills and did lots of exploring in the house.

This week we will be having a story focus of the Gruffalo and we have lots of fun things planned for the week. We will continue this for two weeks and then we will be into Christmas!!

This week we will be talking about our feelings and exploring facial expressions using the mirror.

Notices

On Monday it is Odd Socks Day, please come to school in odd socks. 

On Friday it is Children in Need day, Children welcome to come in wearing something spotty or home clothes to support Children in Need. A suggested donation of a £1.00.

Please can all booking forms for preschool sessions, breakfast club and after school club be returned to the pre-school office. Also can Spring funding forms also be returned. 

Stay and play morning sessions are now posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Thursday morning at 8.30-9.00am. Stay and play is on this Saturday from 10.00-11.30am.

We hope you are enjoying the Marvellous Me’,s, We will continue to send these out to you. Please remember you can add other family members to the app and then they can receive photos too. 

Please return your slips and let us know if you will be attending our information session. This is an informal meeting and it's nice as you get to meet everyone in your child's year 1 class. 

If you could bring in your child’s birth certificate if you have not already done so,that would be great. You can pop this to Caroline in the office or Zoe or Chloe will also sign the paperwork to say we have seen a copy when you drop off in the morning.

We will always ensure any letters are put in your child’s bag so please always have a look for any post.

Home Learning 

Please bring in any special Wow's from your time out exploring in this lovely sunshine. We will make sure we send a small supply home for you this week.

 Please send your photos to z.stockley@princeofwales.dorset.sch.uk and we will print them off for you. These may be family during days out or any activities your child may be completing at home.
