Hello everyone......

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

This week we have had lots of fun making lots of creations to do with the Gruffalo. We used some great skills for cutting and sticking our Gruffalo pictures. We have also been discussing all the different animals that the Gruffalo meets along the way. The children also really enjoyed making the junk model Gruffalos and have been exploring lots of colours and shapes. Singing skills within the group are really starting to shine through and the children have made some great sounds with the Tappy sticks.

This week we will be continuing with ourstory focus of the Graffalo and we have many more activities planned for the week.

The children have started to talk about how they are feeling and we did some practising of faces in the mirrors. We will continue with this theme for the week.

Notices

We look forward to welcoming you to the parent information session that is coming up this Monday. This is an informal meeting where we run through everything that we do at Pre-School and clarify any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to meet parents of other children in the class. If you are attending and you have not yet brought in your child’s birth certificate then please bring it along and Zoe and Julia will be able to verify these to claim your funding. If you need any help with any of the paperwork then please just let Zoe know and she can get this arranged for you. This information session is in the Pre-school Hall at 8pm.

Every child has created a Christmas Card and these can be purchased from https://www.myschoolart.co.uk/choose-your-school/?class_id=49

Stay and play morning sessions are now posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Friday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Please let us know at drop off if there is anything in your child’s bag to come out for the office. Unless we need to we don’t always go into all the bags.
