Hello everyone....

Year 1

Hello Everyone,

We had a great week making lots of fun things to do with the Gruffalo. The best thing was making the Gruffalo crumble and they were very tasty! We have played some great group games and have been practising our counting and getting really great at our colours and recognising changes.

This week we are starting Christmas and have some really great things for the children to make and play. We love Christmas and can’t wait for all the festivities to start.

It was great to see so many of you at the parents information session. We hope you found this useful.

On Monday morning we have the photographer coming in. All children who are in on Monday will have an individual picture taken. If your child does not attend on a Monday, Caroline would have given you a time slot. Also if your child is in on a Monday and has a sibling at school, Julia will bring older siblings over to have their photo taken with their brother/sister. Any questions please speak to Julia.

On Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in the main school staff room, POWSA have their meeting for upcoming events. Everyone welcome. If you would like more information please do come and ask.

On Friday it is ELF day and children are very welcome to come dressed as an Elf with a donation towards the POWSA Christmas fair. Donations of raffle prizes e.g. chocolate, bottles or raffle prizes.

Every child has created a Christmas Card and these can be purchased from https://www.myschoolart.co.uk/choose-your-school/?class_id=50 . This is a POWSA fundraising event.

Stay and play morning sessions are now posted next to our door on the window. It would be great to see you. These run once a week on a different morning each week from 8.30am-9.00am. We also have one every half term on a Saturday. This week stay and play is on Wednesday morning at 8.30-9.00am.

We are a NUT FREE SCHOOL, so please can we remind our families that the children have no products containing nuts in their lunchbox.

Please let us know at drop off if there is anything in your child’s bag to come out for the office. Unless we need to we don’t always go into all the bags.
